We are excited to announce that the International Conference on eXtended Reality, XR Salento 2025 will take place from June 17 to 20, 2025, in the stunning coastal town of Otranto, Italy. This prestigious event, supported by the University of Salento, a proud member of EuroXR, will serve as a vital platform for scientists, engineers, educators, students, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals to collaborate and explore the latest advancements in Extended Reality (XR), which encompasses Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR).
A Legacy of Innovation
XR Salento is the evolution of the International Conference on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Computer Graphics (Salento AVR), which has been fostering collaboration within the AR/VR community since 2014. This year, we aim to build upon that legacy by delving deeper into how immersive technologies can transform our interactions with the physical and virtual worlds.
Topics of Interest
XR Salento 2025 will cover a wide range of topics, including:
Technologies: VR, AR, MR, and AI
Applications: Industry, Medicine, Cultural Heritage, Education, Games/Serious Games, Digital Twin
Human Factors: Presence, Interaction, and Virtual Humans
Call for Papers
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit their original contributions that have not been previously published. We accept two types of papers:
Full Papers: 10–20 pages
Short Papers: 6–11 pages (to be presented as posters)
All accepted papers will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), edited by Springer.
NEW EXTENDED Deadlines:
Full Paper: March 16, 2025
Short Paper: March 31, 2025
Notification of acceptance: April 20, 2025
Camera-ready submission: April 30, 2025
Additionally, we encourage the submission of proposals for thematic sessions. These sessions aim to create mini-workshops on specific topics, fostering connections and collaboration among researchers working on similar issues.
